Narrative Description
Reporting to Director, Global Audit Programs, the incumbent will have overall responsibility for the management of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), its development, implementation and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of IOSA Program including program development, implementation and improvement ;
- Oversee and manage the IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices development;
- Monitor and update the suite of IOSA Program documentation, including but not limited to Standards Manual, Program Manual, and Audit Handbook;
- Manage IOSA program office (IPO) and IOSA Program Committees establishment and coordination of appropriate Task Forces, Oversight Committee; Oversee Auditor Training course curricula and training material update, and liaise with other entities on Auditor Training course delivery; Oversee and manage Audit Organizations (AOs)and Endorsed Training Organizations (ETOs) accreditation;
- Promote the Program, by means of presentations to relevant internal and external groups, and development of promotional material;
- Oversee of IT support mechanisms for the ProgramCommunicate with airlines, regulators, ICAO and other agencies to promote the audit programmes and to ensure the success and integrity of the program.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree in appropriate discipline; Minimum of fifteen years' experience in aviation (or equivalent) in any of the following areas:
- flight operations, safety and quality, auditing, dispatch; Sound familiarity with IOSA program;
- In-depth knowledge of worldwide regulatory operational requirements such as ICAO, EASA, FARs, and the relationship to IOSA specifications; In-depth knowledge of high level operational audit principles and procedures;
- Excellent skills in managing a program / project;
- Excellent skill in working as a team and delivering the product with tight deadlines;
- Excellent skills in Documentation;
- Above-average IT skills (Use of Microsoft office etc);
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- knowledge of other languages an advantage.
