We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Team Leader role to be responsible for the management of engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipeline projects. The position will be responsible for ensuring project completion within financial and schedule constraints, through the management and motivation of the engineering team. This position will be a contract role for an initial 12 months but could be extended up to 3 years. The role will be based in Edmonton.
This position will be accountable for ensuring the project meets quality, cost, scope and schedule parameters and complies with the project procedures and design standards. This role will recommend areas for improvement and will lead the coordination of the project regulatory and right of way permitting applications. This role will report to the project management on a monthly basis for all assigned projects.
For this role you must have 7-10 years experience in pipeline engineering projects and have held a leadership role for the past 2 years. You will also need to have 4 years pipeline project experience and be well versed in design and engineering procedures and financial processes for pipeline projects. You will need to be specialized in mechanical engineering and preferably hold a degree in the subject.
