Title: Production supervisor, specialty chemicals (Diploma in Chemical Technology Required) (NOC: 9212)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day

Salary: $65,000.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits


Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Leduc, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable, Not required

Experience: 5 years or more

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Petroleum and natural gas processing company, Petrochemical companies

Supervisory Experience: Petroleum, gas and chemical process operators, Chemical plant machine operators, Labourers in chemical products processing and utilities, Water and waste plant operators

Specific Skills: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities, Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems, Establish work schedules, Co-ordinate work activities with other units, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Provide information for maintenance plans to ensure that maintenance and production objectives are met

Additional Skills: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Prepare production and other reports

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty, Odours

Ability to Supervise:
10 people or less

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing
