Narrative Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Security & Facilitation, the incumbent will help the team deliver
IATA's Security and Facilitation objectives.The intern will gain exposure to international aviation security issues, experience in analysis of security data and develop an operational knowledge base that will help with future employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
Manage communications with the Security Group (SEG) consisting of airline senior management and security experts.Research and draft material to assist in IATA's delivery of cyber security guidance material; Maintain, improve and verify data for IATA's online regulatory trackers for passenger data and Liquids & Gels and work towards inclusion in Operational Data Management project; Assist in the development and population of IATA's extranet sites for Security and Facilitation; Assist in the creation and organization of events such as the AVSEC World conference, Security forum and industry webinars; Perform analysis on security incident data in preparation for inclusion in Operational Data Management project.
Qualifications and Skills
Undergraduate student in a related discipline; Strong communications skills, verbal and writing; Good organizational skills; Political, legal or regulatory background an advantage; Aviation field of study an advantage; Good command of English, both written and oral; any additional language would be an asset; Microsoft Office skills; Familiarity with web sites, Sharepoint, databases, spreadsheets is advantageous.
